“If I Designed a Vacuum Cleaner, It Would Be the CV30”

“Whoever chose this carpet was crazy,” says Mike Weeden, a maintenance worker at 720 Gordon Terrace, a 40-year-old mixed-use building of rental apartments and condominiums in Chicago, IL. “”They selected a deep blue carpeting for all 23 floors of the building, and it shows every spec of dirt. We have to vacuum in the morning and then again in the afternoon or the tenants complain.”

The building’s maintenance staff has tried scores of vacuum cleaners over the past four decades. “Some work better than others, but it seems there is almost always something wrong with them,” says Weeden. “Some are too heavy, others are too loud or not powerful enough, and lots of the machines put too much dust back in the air. Some of our staff and even the tenants have developed breathing problems after we have used some vacuum cleaners.”

Still holding out hope, the staff decided to try yet another vacuum cleaner—one recently introduced by Tornado Industries—the CV30. The CV30 has a 12-inch base, large enough to efficiently vacuum the building’s hallway carpets, removing even the tiniest spec of dirt, and yet small enough to vacuum elevators and stairs. “And, it has a handy built-in hose to vacuum baseboards, vents, and the corners of the elevators,” says Weeden.

Weeden appreciates the machine’s quiet operation. “A lot of our residents have irregular hours, and some work out of their units, which means they may be up really late and sleep until about midmorning,” he says. “But atless than 67 decibels, the CV30 is one of the quietest vacuum cleaners I have ever used, and it doesn’t disturb our late sleepers.”

The CV30’s three-stage air-filtration system with true-HEPA filters also caught Weeden’s eye. This advanced filtration system traps dust with 99.97 percent efficiency at 0.3 microns. “Some of our old vacuum cleaners made the hallways smell like an old rug,” he complains. “But the CV30 is totally odor free. If anything, the hallways smell nice and clean after vacuuming.”

“The CV30 is definitely one of the best vacuum cleaners we have ever used,” says Weeden. “It’s light, clean, and quiet, and it really cleans our deep blue carpets. If I designed a vacuum cleaner, it would be the CV30.”
