A Different Kind of Medical Challenge

Professional cleaning services are always looking for new tools and equipment that can clean more thoroughly and faster, such as new vacuum cleaner technologies.

Case in point: Cleaning professionals at a Chicago medical center decided to test a conventional upright vacuum cleaner versus the all-new PV 10, ten-quart true-HEPA vacuum cleaner from Tornado Industries®.

For six weeks, a 750 square foot medical office was cleaned once per week using a high-quality upright vacuum cleaner. After the six-week period, the contents of the vacuum bag were weighed, and it was determined that just over 10 ounces of soil were collected.

Then for the next six weeks, the same office was vacuumed once per week using the PV 10.  This time, nearly 15 ounces of soil were collected.

“This demonstrates that the backpack removed significantly more soil,” according to a spokesperson for the cleaning service.  “In addition, we found the backpack vacuum to be as much as 40 percent faster than the upright, an excellent improvement in worker productivity.”
